Security Industry News from around Australia - and the world.
8/11/18
Securecy presented at the recent ASIAL Queensland industry briefing in Brisbane.
The response was very positive and we met some very professional providers.
Tamika Travers and Peter Rashford from Office of Fair Trading also presented.
They provided an overview of Industry licensing focusing on probity of security providers, new and existing licensees.
It sparked a Q and A around licence checking - which clearly is a frustration for Security companies.
Securecy has developed the solution for checking security licences.
In NSW, Securecy connected with the OneGov website, so security licences are automatically checked every day.
The team at Securecy is now lobbying regulators around the country to introduce automated licence checking in all states.
It's a huge time saver for clients and helps security companies meet their compliance obligations.
Geoff Favell, Queensland Training Ombudsman was also a guest speaker.
Geoff has reviewed training in the security industry and provided an update of the outcomes of the review.
